Ours

Tonight was the Ours concert in OKC at The Conservatory. Anne and her husband Chris came up to check out the show with John and I. The show was really good, dude, Jimmy Gnecco has a voice like you can not imagine…Wow. The band was tight and really sounded great (even thought the PA was horrible!)

If you are not familur with Ours, you can download some legal bootlegs here.

As great as the concert was, the highlight was finally getting to meet Anne and Chris. A awesome couple for sure…no official pictures yet of the FlowerDuster, but they may be coming. The ears are still ringing, and it is 1:00am in the morning…man, I am not as young as I once was. Time for bed….

book recommendation

Just finished reading Leadership and Self-Deception by The Arbinger Institute.

Leadership

I really enjoyed the book, and highly recommend it. Sorry, not much of a review here…but I can say this book is so much more than your typical leadership book, it really applies to just about everyone. Amazon has over 150 reviews, and it is a 4.5 out of 5 stars….I think that is a fair rating in my opinion.

rhythm…

I feel like I am back in the groove today….or back on rhythm. After a crazy trip [Flickr pics] back from Sweetwater, via Abeline, Houston to OKC that blew my Monday…today my rhythm is back.

I am excited to be back in Edmond, back in the groove and back to work! However, the family has continued on their trip to Dallas to see friends and I will be hanging solo with Ellie for the next 10+ days. Thats a bummer, and I will miss them like crazy….but does afford me to get a lot of things done!

Rhythm and groove…good stuff. But please do not mistake those words for comfort or confident. Right now, with this project that we are working on I am the most UNcomfortable I think I have ever been. It is one of those moments that you just look around, take a deep breath and say….wow, I am SO IN OVER MY HEAD! And I know that is right where I need to be, leaning on Him. (I am not talking about the new Internet Campus project….)

The current plan is to share the project publicly sometime in the next few weeks. I look forward to you guys learning more so you can at least know why I am not sleeping very well and maybe throw me and the team a prayer bone every now and then!
