The Friday Dump

Ok, maybe that was not the best title….but maybe it was. Here is a very random dump of information.

I am excited to launch our new LifeChurch.tv site Feb 8th

The new site will be connected with Fellowship One.

Fired up about attending SXSW.

I am addicted to Twitter. Check my Twit out here.

It is awesome to have a development “team”…

If LifeChurch.tv was the most innovative church in 2008…just wait! You know the song. You ain’t seen nothin yet.

YouVersion Beta R6.5 is now live. Share it with others.

Speaking at MinistryTECH. I have NO idea what I am talking about.

Are you Fuddled? You can get UnFuddled with an awesome tool. We are using it for the new site.

HD 720p podcasts are tweaked and ready for prime time. We will make the official with the next series.

Foo Fighters concert is going to be amazing…I just know it.

Apple, please release the new AppleTV upgrade…please…hurry.

Date night tonight. That is the best news of all.

Gotta run. Have a great weekend!

MinistryCOM..the talk!

Well, today was the big “talk”. The Communication Revolution….and I had a blast.

A few people blogged about it: Dave, Daryl, EricKelley.

The group here at MinistryCOM is amazing, and frankly I am really enjoying talking with others and learning a ton. Tomorrow morning I am excited to hear Shawn Wood, but a little sad that I have to take off and will not be able to hear the great and wonderful Kem Meyer!

Tomorrow morning I am meeting up with a few folks at Starbucks. If you are at MinistryCOM or in Nashville and want to connect I will be at this Starbucks in the morning at 7:15-8:15. Just stop by and say hey if you have time.

Off to Nashville

This morning I am catching a plane to Nashville for MinistryCOM 07. Should be a great conference, and I am looking forward to connecting with a lot of friends I have not seen in a while.

My schedule is nuts, but feel free to shoot me an email or give me a ring (405) 708-4940 if you want to try and connect.

communication revolution

I am working on a video project that will go along with my Communication Revolution talk at MinistryCOM.

If you are interested in collaborating on this video project shot me an email or comment below. I will invite you to the WriteBoard, and would love and appreciate your input!

interviewed

Chris Forbes interviewed me for the MinistryCOM website. You can check them out here:

Interview Part One

Interview Part Two

Wow, that is a mug shot for sure! What was I thinking?

ministrycom lunch…

Just got back from lunch with Terrell Sanders, the brains behind MinistryCOM. We had a great time talking about the conference, and going over my semi-outline. Side note…eating healthy at a Tex-Mex restaurant just plain stinks!

Here is the general idea of my talk. [link] Currently I am working with a videographer and producer to create a super cool opening video. The thought is if my talk is crap, then at least you saw a really cool video!

The registration is on track for a really great crowd (much bigger than years past)…I look forward to connecting with you guys that will be attending. If you plan on going, make sure you register in the next few days to get your early bird discount. [register here]

You will get a cool thing like this in the mail.

DC07 Session

My buddy Eric Jaffe did a great job documenting my session this morning. Jump over to his blog to read all about it. [link]

Here is my PPT slides via YouTube. [link]
Here is the Second Life Video via YouTube. [link]
Here is the zip file with all the slides. [link] UPDATE!!!

Tommorow should be fun. I hear rumors that Tony Morgan and I get to take part in leading a “Unconference” session! Since it will be wide open jump on Tonys blog or comment right here what you would like us to talk about…

DC07 Day 1

Yesterday was a great day at the Dynamic Church Conference. I rolled in with the family around lunchtime and have been going no stop. Mainly connecting with old friends and seeing people I have not seen in years! I love that about conferences.

One of the funnest parts of the trip so far was the music selection on the way in. Since gas prices are so crazy we decided to drive my car, instead of Robin’s mini-van. Why is that important? Because that means no trip DVD player for the girls. So games, reading, coloring and music was a big part of the trip…. As we were getting closer to the Dallas area we started playing the “This is your song game.” Here are some songs that were on the playlist.

Crazy- Gnarls Barkley
Jamiroquai- Canned Heat
Bee Gees- Saturday Night Feaver
House of Pain- Jump Around
Jack Johnson- Banana Pancakes
Led Zeppelin- Rock and Roll
Linkin Park- (with on the fly editing)

Funny…. Once we started Reia kept saying… “Daddy, play the rock and roll loud music more!” -Thats my girl…

Anyway, gotta get going, I am speaking this morning and I am really looking forward to seeing what comes out of my mouth. Who know what God is stirring up inside that will just come out. Should be fun.

dynamic church 07

Heading out in the morning to Frisco, Texas….(near home!)

Off to the Dynamic Church 07 Conference for a few days, and then hang with the family and some friends for the weekend. Should be a great time.

My session is going to be fun…

Maximize Your Reach

With more than a billion people online today, maximizing your personal touch is more important than ever. In this session Terry will discuss how the Internet is taking a huge world and made it small. Terry will discuss several possible technologies that you can use to extend your reach beyond your church campus.

Apparently while I am there I am going to help Tony with his Texan. I am packing up the cowboy hat, boots, wranglers and the horses so I can learn him something.

Let me know if you are going to be there! I just got word that the attendance is great, with attendees from as far as Hawaii, Alaska, and the UK.
