Today was an amazing day. Not because I woke up, not because I have a wonderful family, not because I love my job, and not because the I-campus beta went great….all those are really cool, but today was an amazing day because today hundreds of people publicly celebrated there relationship with Christ by being baptized. Wow…it was outstanding.
I gotta tell ya, there not many things I would rather take part in than baptizing. It drills right down to the core for me why I do what I do. If I ever for some crazy reason get off track and get focused on technology, or focused on leadership, or get focused on communications or this or that….I can look at the waters of baptism and quickly have a beautiful reminder what it REALLY important. Seeing just that one person step into the waters and publicly celebrate the greatest decision they will ever make has a great way of providing clarity of priorities. I am honored to have been able to be a small part of it tonight.
Check out these pictures of baptism from LifeStock 2007.

That is my beautiful reminder….
My favorite part of LifeStock every year is to see the long line of people just keep coming for baptism. It seems never-ending…amazing! You’re right – baptism serves as the perfect reminder for why we do what we do.
That is very good. Thanks for sharing the pics. What a great thing!

This was a truely amazing experience. I was able to baptize someone for my first time. I always thought I was tough as nails until this experience. I wept like a baby
