blackberry curve
Here is the official TerryStorch.com Blackberry Curve Review.
What I love….
Full QWERTY keyboard
New OS is super easy to navigate
Nice bright and big screen
Spell Check! I need that SO bad….
Great feeling. Thin, rubber type edges are nice.
Speakerphone works well
Voice Dialing is great
Battery life is awesome!
2MP camera works well
What I am missing…
Wish the expansion card was more accessible.
Wish had GPS like 8800
Still missing WiFi
3G is missing
Bottom line for me, the Blackberry Curve is the best smart phone on the market. I LOVE Blackberry.(period) No one does email better than Blackberry….and at the end of the day, email is the Killer App for me on a smart phone. Sorry iPhone… Music, Videos and Web browsing are cool, but I need super fast and easy email much more on my device. Two thumbs up, or 4.5 out of 5 for me!

Many people have mistakenly assumed the iPhone was intended to be a business phone and have given it negative grades. I don’t think that is the case. The iPhone was designed for the mass market iPod crowd to combine their iPod and phone.

You know I have wifi on my phone and I still hardly ever use it since I have he unlimited data plan.

I agree – email is important. While my Windows Mobile 5.0 device doesn’t do email as quick as the blackberry I still like it for the fact that it has full WiFi capabilities. I don’t have the data plan on it but 90% of the places I work with my phone have WiFi access so I always have access to my Gmail account and any Google documents or notes on my iGoogle homepage. I have seen a few of my friends with a blackberry and I do like the speed. That is one thing that I wish could be improved on some of the newer Windows Mobile smart phones.

Terry, Would you like to get me one?

Amen, brotha. I don’t know what I’d do without my Blackberry, but I’m a bit behind. [just upgraded to the 8703 & still using a trackwheel] Would love the camera feature, & the Curve looks pretty sweet but isn’t supported by Verizon yet. Was the trackball navigation hard to get used to?

Jeff…..NO! Good try.
Dawn, no…the trackwheel is wonderful. Took a day, but now I would not go back!

If I remember, you had the Pearl…is it weird have a big phone again?

I did have the Pearl Eloy. No, I really was not that challenging to pick up the larger device. I thought it was going to be more of a problem then it really was.
The full keyboard was WAY worth it for sure!

I’ve been saving for an i-phone but after reading your review and trusting your judgment my wife got me a curve for father’s day. I haven’t mastered the darn thing yet, but so far I’m loving it. Thanks!
