Clinton and McCain were supposed to win in New Hampshire, because they are institutional Democrats and Republicans - contrary to polling data that was probably a little skewed after Iowa. This is also why Richardson got a decent percentage because he's a well known, life long Democrat. They used to say you couldn't win the election if you didn't win New Hampshire, but the last few election results have proved differently.
