MinistryCOM..the talk!
Well, today was the big “talk”. The Communication Revolution….and I had a blast.
A few people blogged about it: Dave, Daryl, Eric, Kelley.
The group here at MinistryCOM is amazing, and frankly I am really enjoying talking with others and learning a ton. Tomorrow morning I am excited to hear Shawn Wood, but a little sad that I have to take off and will not be able to hear the great and wonderful Kem Meyer!
Tomorrow morning I am meeting up with a few folks at Starbucks. If you are at MinistryCOM or in Nashville and want to connect I will be at this Starbucks in the morning at 7:15-8:15. Just stop by and say hey if you have time.

Great talk this morning … I texted one quote to a friend of mine — “it’s not about the name on the side of the building … it’s about the NAME OF CHRIST”. The whole section about — how do we get them to come to us — and how it should be — how do we go out to where the people are … really good.
And the bit about one person being able to reach thousands … we’re experiencing that with our facebook community. It’s unreal — we set up events with our groups – invite those we know – and within minutes – all of those guys have invited all of their friends – and it just keeps spreading. It is AMAZING. Web 2.0 indeed!!

Man, not only is that early, it’s early! I have a contractor coming over at Friday at 8AM to help me install some kitchen cabinets, so I can’t make it. If you’re still around Saturday or Sunday, I would love to get together. Let me know your plans.

Thanks for you time this morning. It is not very often that you can sit down for over an hour with someone leading the way in communications and church innovation…and all for only $2 and that was for my own coffee.
I guess the least I could have done was to buy your coffee. Its on me next time. Thanks again.

Terry, I loved your talk – my entire team walked away with a new appreciation for the opportunities Web 2.0 provides!! I’m reading your book now. Thank you for your insight and leadership in this much needed area! Hope to see you again sometime.
