pray for kathy
A horrible thing has happened to Kathy Sierra, one of my favorite bloggers. Kathy has received some SERIOUS death threats via blogs.
Kathy talks openly about the threats and documents them on her blog, but I caution you… the language is bad and it is very disturbing. View with caution. [link]
This is awful and totally unacceptable. I am having a very difficult time putting into words my thoughts and feelings about this. Take a moment and pray for Kathy and the situation that she is in.
Here are some other great posts about this. [Brian Bailey] [Robert Scoble]

Agreed. I don’t really know what to think or say, other than to pray for her safety and peace. It’s one of those really tough things that should never happen, but does because of cowardly action by some who hide behind the anonymity of the Internet.
Brian’s thoughts are great on this as well.
It’s a tough day for all of us who put our lives out there for others to read—for anyone who has ever “trusted” in the basic goodness of the public.

Your two most recent posts – pray for Kathy – and – God is huge – stand as a tender reminder that even at it’s most magnificent, the world is a place filled with broken people in a fallen state and no amount of creative majesty can mask that our assignment here is not only to steward our environment well, but much more significantly, to reach any we can with God’s redemption. We pray for Kathy and with even greater fervor, her persecutors.

I hope this scary stuff stops soon. This is fascinating in how it displays that just about everything, good or bad, that can happen in the physical world can also happen in internet world.

Terry,
Thanks for asking for prayer for her. This whole thing is sick. I’m praying today because you asked.
