We are using this book in combination w/ the MBTI to better understand my team. We expect to get great insight on how best to position the team w/ in the company and understand what gaps need to be filled to move to the next level.

My 5:
Self Assurance
Competition
Ideation
Restorative
Futuristic

As an aside I am an iNTP falling mid-line w/ the E/I, strong N and off the chart T&P. I see a relationship between the strong T for Competition and Self-Assurance with the NP combo with the other three.

I have also taken the test twice.

2001: Self-Assurance, Strategic, Achiever, Arranger, Maximizer.
2009: Strategic, Ideation, Futuristic, Maximizer, Self-Assurance

Interestingly enough, what it told me is that my inner compass has primarily remained true to course. Personally speaking, what I feel has changed in the past 8 years is that I now have a more outward (Futuristic/Ideation: Make the world a better place) as opposed to an inward (Achiever/Arranger: Make my world a better place) focus.

I talk about this in more detail on my blog.

Learner
Achiever
Maximizer
Self Assurance
Responsibility
Strategic
Relator
Belief
Input
Focus

Can you help me with mine and an easy way to remember them.
I have -
Relator
Strategic
Maximizer
Command
Communication

I'm trying to figure out how to remember these. I like the Strategic as "Work Smarter"

I thought a big premise of strengthsfinder was that your 'signature' themes don't really change much.

three years ago it was includer, ideation, woo, connectedness, and futuristic.

I'm really tempted to take v2.0 but i'm too cheap. I could probably guess changes that have taken place...

i wish they offered more on synthesizing the total results than just listing them and explaining each theme separately.

Terry,
Bill beat me to the question - if you could only buy 1 of these - would it be the Buckingham 04, or the new 08?

Terry - we are Strengths Freaks at Pine Ridge Church. Our Executive Pastor, Tom Howe, is actually one of only 12 guys in the country that are level 5 certified for strengths coach training. He is actually in Indiana right now doing some more training. Not sure what all that means because that dude eats, sleep, and drinks strengths.

Anyways, we use strengths for our disguised membership class. We call our 'membership' our volunteer staff and we have put together a 2 week series called, "The Discovery Matrix Series". First week we look at 'our design' as a church and the second week we look at 'their design' and go through strengths.

We use their strengths to plug them in to different volunteer roles - one that they are passionate about and one have that they have strengths in. Not sure if that is what you had in mind with your question - so I will shut up - quit pimpin' my church and give you my top 5 :)

Thanks for sharing you guys! This is great.

Kent, I do think that my current environment has drawn out different things inside of me.

Crystal- I highly encourage you to pick up the book. It is worth the money. You will enjoy it.

Travis, the criteria is the same. I think growth, and environment has adjusted my 5.

Here is how they break down: (interesting that I don't have any "Working with People".

Command- Influencing People
Futuristic- Working Smarter
Maximizer- Influencing People
Significance- Working Harder
Strategic- Working Smarter
