Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness, and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts.
---Mark Twain---

A point of view can be a dangerous luxury when substituted for insight and understanding Nothing strips the varnish off life like a trip outside of the US.

I spent a week in San Pedro Guatemala, and not one day was the best last day to get the lowest price on the new car I didn't need There was a 'live and let live' atmosphere for all. The dogs don't go after the cats, seriously, might be drugs involved. Or they figured out Wi-Fi and Starbucks isn't a big deal. Just open the door, the world will come in.

Great post, Terry! It reminds me of Proverbs 18:17, "The first to present his case seems right, till another comes forward and questions him". It's always eye-opening to see things through another's eyes-- especially someone in a different socioeconomic situation. Thanks for sharing this.

Paul has really had an impact on a lot of people. It's crazy how one little thing or one person can cause so many people to rethink their perspective on everything.

Very interesting - I goto Harvestokc.com - a OKC based church - and the message today was - Global / local perspective. We mostly live our lives in a magnified state and dont really realize the global view God has for our lives , country , world.

I think God is trying to get us as christians to open up our way of seeing our place in this world.

[...] Terry Storch wrote a fantastic post today on “The Reality of Angles”Here’s ONLY a quick extractThe angle in which you look at the new Honda Accord…it might look a little like a popular German sedan. Maybe the angle of how you take pictures of yourself. Some of you might like the angle the left…maybe the right. … [...]
