Easter weekend is always a big weekend as a church staff member. For the past 13 years I have been involved heavily in some way with a ministry area on Easter, but nothing like what I am going to experience this weekend. This weekend we are launching the LifeChurch.tv Second Life Island known as Experience Island.
Frankly we have no idea what to expect. The buzz has been growing, and people from all over the world are finding us. The most exciting thing to me is the people that I have been able to connect with in SL that would never darken the doors of a church in RL (real life). Take an hour and join us this weekend.

Terry…real question which I saw posed on another blog…is there rebirth in SL, and I guess for me, how do you transition that into this life?
Has the process been developed for that purpose?

Frankly the process has not totally been developed. Nor do I really think it will ever fully be flushed out. We are committed to lead people to become fully devoted followers of Christ and are moving forward and going to figure it out while we are moving forward….
Perry Noble recently said “People–we have GOT to care enough about those far from Christ to go where they are (Jesus did that) find out their story (once again, Jesus did that) and show them who Jesus is!”
While Perry was talking about reaching those in this world, the same applies to the virtual world. If that’s where we have to go, then so be it.
