crunch time!
It is crunch time…. down to the wire to launch the new site on Monday.
I can not even begin to tell you how many balls are in the air on this project. Check this out:
/ Designer & styler out of state
/ Local outsourced graphic guy
/ Local outsourced .Net development group (we don’t have any .Net developers on staff)
/ Local outsourced CMS developers (a ton of custom CMS code to unwrap!)
/ Staff web site administrator building 700+ pages like there is no tomorrow
/ Staff web developer pulling it all together
/ 1 digerati amped up on caffeine and sugar listening to stress relieving music (more to come on that later)
Oh yea, did I forget to mention that business as usual with videos, web registration pages and other typical stuff that has to get done. Boy, how nice would it be to shut down shop for a while to get the new stuff out the door….
And finally, the last kick in the pants… LifeChurch.tv version 2.0 is being white boarded out right now to launch by the end of the year and replace everything that goes live on Monday. Hey, thats just the way I role!

Sounds like tons of fun, haha. You should document the 2.0 process (video/photos). I think a lot of designers would love to see the behind-the-scenes when it comes out.

Hey Terry,
Josh from CedarCreek.tv (formally known as CedarCreek Church, but then some of our pastors came out to visit you guys in Oklahoma…)
Was curious, how often does LC tend to change the web-design? Up until this last version, we’ve tended to change it up once a year. Our current version has been up for about a year and a half now, but we’re actually meeting on Monday to discuss the next version, and how radically it needs to change.

Josh, I have no idea… The 2.0 version will not be about look and feel, near as much as core functionality. I DON’T think changing a web site just to change it is a good thing. Just my opinion.
Eloy, miss you being around brotha!
Jeremy, good idea. I would have to slow down long enough to do that… we will see if that could happen.
