I guess I wasn't moved when I got the notice of the downtime.

After 12 years of grueling work in webhosting, I was glad they took the necessary time to fix their issue rather than wait for the unexpected to happen like blow a transformer and being dependent on the local utility to come and fix it 12 hours later. Which wouldn't be that bad but your shoddy UPS can only power 250,000 servers for 4 to 6 hours at the most.

Oh those were good times that I am not going to miss at all.

Terry got me on mt and it has been lovely. This downtime ain't nothing.

I use (mt) for 13 different sites. They are usually very good about uptime. They are much better than any of the other hosts I have used in the past. The fact that you can call them anytime is awesome too.

Thanks Alex. Your service has been amazing so far outside of this extended down time. I think you guys handled it very professionally and informed your customers of what was going on. Thank you for that, and because of things like this...I highly recommend MediaTemple.
