I have no idea if it is the unyielding power of Bobby….sending all these new users to Facebook…but wow, Facebook is really slow!
Not sure if you realized this, but Facebook grows by around 100,000 new users per day! Amazing…
Anyway, just wondering if you guys noticed Facebook being a little slow over the past few day.

I haven’t noticed much of a hit either…but, I have noticed the inconsistencies with Facebook in Firefox.

It’s so slow it’s not even working. I can’t even login. Here’s the message I’m getting from Facebook:
Hey, your account is temporarily unavailable due to site maintenance. It should be available again within a few hours. We apologize for the inconvenience.

You know what’s really slow – your friend count.

YES, We have added several users over the last few days, and it does take it some time to display all the commands that a group throws at it.
We made it an assignment to have the media dept. make an account and join a group, so 40 of us created an instant community with the experiment to see how fast we can build a sizeable group.
Its slow….but fun.

Yes – facebook dose seem to be running quite slow. But much faster than MySpace…. I really dis like the organization of myspace pages.

Facebook is bogged down because the addition of all the new applications. Just like myspace, loading all that additional content is slowing down load times and making things looked cluttered…

I have been experiencing the same challenges with Facebook being slow lately. For the most part, I cannot get further than the log in page, and when I do get in cannot upload photos at all.
I understand that there are lots of applications that are being added as well as new members, but would it be possible to upgrade current servers to handle this influx?

Yes, I have noticed facebook being slow. However, it is slow only if I use Firefox. It works great in Safari. I can’t try IE as I have MAC OS X

Seems like issue on FireFox with “JavaScript” enabled..
When I uncheck “JavaScript” in FireFox option menu, it runs fast on facebook..
Look like a bug in FireFox “JavaScript”…
