Saturday at SXSW was a good, not really a great day. The big highlight was Kathy Sierra. Kathy has a wonderful blog called Creating Passionate Users. If you are not reading it, then subscribe here today. Her big thought, is… WTF?. For those of you who are not familiar with WTF?, it stand for What the F. WTF? is the feeling that users have when they interact with your software. Maybe your website, maybe software, maybe your piece of technology. Hey, maybe WTF? at your church. Anyway, it’s all about knowing when your users don’t understand something and helping them through it. Simplify and interact with people like they are human…. good stuff, and really a great reminder.
Other sessions attended: TV:The Next Generation, Ghost in the Machine: Spirituality Online.
Interesting note. When did downtown Austin (i.e. 6th street area) become so New York? There are pizza vendors everywhere…. When did that happen?
NY? Ah, please don’t say that. Us locals will cry. Hope you enjoy your time in Austin.
Welcome back to the blog world.
Shalom
Chris, it is crazy. Everywhere we looked was a NY style pizza shop. Nuts….
Thanks, I am glad to be back in the blog world.
Have a great day.
The ole WTF… That one plays through my mind continually. I know I’m suppose to take every thought captive, but there’s nothing that is equivalent to WTF
Enjoy Austin!!! Go grab some Stubb’s BBQ, you won’t be disappointed.
Of course, what a great site and informative posts…
