SXSW Sunday Highlights

Sunday was a very interesting day at South by Southwest. By interesting I really mean not that great. I am not sure what it is, but the last time I was here I just thought it was a lot better…. However, on the bright side, today the best session was a technical session called AJAX or Flash. One of the projects on my to-do list is re-building our LifeChurch.tv Internet Campus. For this project we went through a very in depth look at both technologies and landed on a direction. (I look forward to sharing more with you about this at a later time!)

Other sessions attended: Designing for Convergent Devices, Keynote- Phil Torrone & Limor Fried, Independent User Creation.

On another note I forgot to mention that I took Bobby to my favorite BBQ place in Texas… Rudy’s BBQ. That was a remarkable experience.

  • I look forward to hearing more about the re-building of the internet campus. I’m looking into an internet campus for us as well (www.crossroadscn.com) but taking my time in researching it and its design. I’m excited to see how God uses you at Lifechurch.tv.

  • Rudy’s Rules!!!!

    “Next in line!”

    Do they still say that?

Some things I really miss about Austin. Rudy’s and Leslie on 6th street are two of them.

  • Yep… they still yell Next in line!

    Love it.

Don, go slow for sure and spend the right about of time on it.

  • Terry,
Next time you are in Austin, give me a call and I will take you out for some REAL BBQ…RUDY’S HAS NOTHING on some of the other places around Austin. In fact, here in Austin, Rudy’s is kind of seen as the LOSER of all local BBQ.

    Seriously, call me! HAHA! 512-262-8054

  • Wow, that sounds great. I am not sure about LOSER though. I really, really love Rudys. I love there spicy chop, and there Turkey is amazing.

SO, I am up for it next time. I will give you a call for sure.

  • Thanks for coming to the Designing for Convergent Devices panel. I was the moderator and was thrilled at the turnout and enthusiasm from the audience. Feel free to drop me a line any time.
